With love and sadness we announce the passing of Cindy (Lucinda) Corbin Berntsen, aged 75, passed away on January 18, 2026, in Lake Forest, CA. Born on December ,1950, Cindy was a mother, wife, healer, spiritual seeker,performer, and true and caring friend who will always warm the hearts of those who knew her . She had a vibrant and outgoing personality who loves people, always ready to engage in conversation and connect with those around her.
Throughout her life, Cindy dedicated over 40 years to her career as a massage therapist and healer, deeply committed to the well-being of her clients. Her passion for helping others extended into her personal interests as well, with Cindy actively participating in singing and acting at local theaters, bringing joy and entertainment to her community.
Cindy found spiritual solace and community at her local Yoga Center in Costa Mesa, which also reflects her lifelong commitment to wellness and personal growth. This center will host a service in her honor on April 26, 2026, at 11:30 am, celebrating her life and the many lives she touched .She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughter Ananda Barragan her older brother, Art Tyree; older sister, Molly Thompson; and two grandsons. Cindy was preceded in death by her beloved husband and college sweetheart, Steve Berntsen, whose memory she cherished deeply.
Cindy's legacy of love, laughter, and care will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. Cindy was a nurturer.You will be missed but never forgotten.
