Lucinda "Cindy" VanMatre, born Lucinda Davis on July 19, 1952, in Bakersfield, California, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Evansville, Indiana, at the age of 73.
She was the daughter of Elmer and Ethel Davis, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian Burton, and her sister, Ellen McColpin.
Cindy is survived by her daughters, Angela Falletti (Justin) and Amber Carroll (Bryan), and her grandchildren, Jazmine Burton, Jacob Carroll (Paige), and Tessa Vermillion and her great-grandchildren, Chloe and Lennox, and several nieces and nephews.
Cindy's presence brought comfort and steadiness to those around her. Her memory remains vivid in the hearts of those who knew her and will continue to offer solace in the days ahead.
