Lucy M. Salva

Lucy M. Salva, 93, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 27, 2026.

She was the devoted wife of the late Leonard Salva; loving mother of Chris (Silvia) Muñoz; proud grandmother of Christian (Jordan) Muñoz and Allegra (Arihant) Arora; and cherished great-grandmother of John Christian Muñoz. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bernarda Gonzalez and Pascasio Claudio; and dear sister of the late Rafael Gonzalez, Antonio Gonzalez, Angel Luis Claudio, and Jose Juan Claudio.

Throughout her life, Lucy nurtured and cared for many members of her family, offering unwavering love, strength, and support. Born in Puerto Rico, she later moved to the United States, where she began her career at Holloway & Co. before pursuing several small business ventures in the Chicagoland area.

For the past 20 years, she made her home in Dallas, where she loved spending time with her immediate family and was deeply involved in the lives of her grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.

A Memorial Mass will be held on April 10, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1170 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery, 700 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL 60016.
