Lynell Kristine Smith

Lynell (Lynn) Kristine Smith passed away surrounded by family, on October 4, 2025 at Hartford Hospital. She was born to Wandakay and Howard Johnson on August 8, 1951 in Houston Texas. She was predeceased in death by her parents and her stepfather Clayton Parker.

She is survived by her children Eric Richters, Jason (Stacey) Richters, Alexander Neisloss, and grandchildren Jake, Zachary, Abby, Nick and Zach. She is also survived by her sisters Glenda McAuliffe and Ellen Parker, and several nieces and nephews.

Lynell grew up in East Hartford and graduated from EHHS class of 1969. She was always kind and generous and adored her papillon dog named Stevie. She loved to travel and most recently had traveled to the northwest covering many states. Having worked various jobs as a bookkeeper, her free time was spent gardening flowers and a variety of vegetables. Also, she loved cooking and baking especially with her granddaughter Abby and was her favorite thing to do.

A graveside Catholic funeral will be held November 21 at 11 am, South Cemetery, 247 Cider Mill Road, Tolland.
