Lynn Alvina Eyerman, 77, passed away peacefully on December 5th, 2025. Born on October 3rd, 1948 in Long Branch, New Jersey to Henriette and Victor Eyerman. Lynn spent her early childhood in Middletown until age seven, when her family moved to Oakhurst, her anchor for the rest of her life, in the same cherished house filled with steady love. A woman of strong faith, Lynn carried her beliefs quietly but deeply, grounding her life in gratitude, service, and a genuine care for others.
Lynn graduated from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania in 1970 with a degree in Business. She began her professional life in New York City, working at a publishing company before moving West to work in Phoenix throughout the 1970s. In 1978, Lynn found her calling when she joined Brookdale Community College as a Career Counselor. For more than 35 years, she helped generations of students translate their majors into lifelong opportunities, guiding them with her signature wisdom. Lynn was widely loved by students, colleagues, and friends who knew her to be warm and quietly formidable.
To those closest to her, Lynn was the most loyal and curious friend, the person who remembered what mattered, asked real questions, and listened closely. Any phone call with Lynn could easily span hours, as her gift for understanding people and making them feel seen made every conversation feel warm, and genuinely cared for. A sharp intellectual who closely followed the news and politics, Lynn was always ready for a thoughtful conversation connecting current events to the lives behind them. This spirit showed up in everything Lynn did, as a lifelong health nut in the best sense, she lived with intention each day and always put the care of those around her first.
Above all, Lynn loved her family deeply, and she will be missed in the ordinary moments. She is survived by her niece and nephews: Keith Eyerman and his children, TJ, Andrew, Ryan, Veronica, Henry, Eve, Jane, and Wilson; Tara Eyerman Walsh, her husband, Matt, and their children, Sean, Ian, and Kelly; and James Eyerman and his wife, Suzanne, and their children, Gabe and Luke. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henriette and Victor Eyerman and brother Frederick Eyerman.
