Lynne Anna Moyer

Lynne Anna Moyer, aged 80, passed away on January 26, 2026, in La Marque, Texas. Born on November 27, 1945, Lynne dedicated her life to caring for others, both through her professional career and personal interests.
Lynne earned a Degree in Psychology from George Washington University. She started her professional career as a Public Assistance Caseworker in Pennsylvania, later becoming a social worker for the DoSS in Iowa, and eventually ending up as a Caseworker for CPS in Galveston County, from which she retired. Lynne also spent time managing an Animal Shelter and Adoption Center in Galveston, which brought her a lot of joy. Her career was marked by compassion and a dedication to improving the lives of those around her.
Beyond her professional life, Lynne was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Galveston, which reflected her values of morality, generosity and community.
An intelligent, generous, strong, and loyal individual, Lynne had a profound love for animals, particularly horses and dogs. She also had a passion for creating beaded jewelry and enjoyed attending her Friday craft club.
Lynne is survived by her sisters, Maryann Barbiero and Janice "Bazy" Morrow; granddaughter, Mya Breaux; and daughter-in-law, Sarah Reaves. She was preceded in death by her son, Caleb Breaux; partner, Kenneth Generous; and parents, Thomas and Marguerite Moyer. She also leaves behind many cherished friends and extended family.
A service to celebrate Lynne's life will be held at Carnes Funeral Home at 10 am, located at 3100 Gulf Fwy, Texas City, TX 77591. Attendees will gather to honor her memory and legacy.
Lynne's life was a testament to her enduring kindness and her unwavering commitment to service. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
