Lynne Marie Wibberg

Lynne was 67 years old when she passed peacefully on January 3, 2026, due to complications from surgery. She was born on October 4, 1958, at Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York.



Lynne grew up in Buffalo and attended St. Christopher's Grammar School before graduating from Mount St. Mary's Academy High School. After high school, she began working at a nursing home.



Lynne later moved to Arizona, where she started a life with her first love, and together they raised their two daughters. Life took its turns, and Lynne later found love again with her late husband, Bill.



Lynne was estranged from her daughters and family in New York for many years. Later in life, they reconnected, allowing her to spend several meaningful years with her family—something that brought her great happiness.



Lynne was preceded in death by her father, Fred Carpenter, and her husband, Bill Wibberg.



She is survived by her daughters, Salina (Joe) Ezell and Kelly (Sean) Carlson; her mother, Barbara Carpenter; her siblings, Marianne (Philip) Dalton and Fred (Laura) Carpenter; and her grandchildren, Carlos (Jen) Mackenzie, Joseph, Ashton, Malachi, Jolina, and Aaminah. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.



Lynne was becoming the person she always knew she could be and was truly living her best life. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events whenever she could and cherished being surrounded by family.



Those who knew Lynne knew her love for the color yellow, pigs, and the Buffalo Bills. A tomboy at heart, she loved riding motorcycles—owning a Harley—and enjoyed hunting with both rifle and bow. Later in life, she also came to enjoy getting her hair and nails done, especially with her oldest daughter.



She finished stronger than she started. Lynne will be deeply missed, and we pray she knew just how loved she was.
