Madeline “Kathy” Guinn, 83, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026. She was born on March 8, 1943, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma, to the late William and Madeline Mallams. Madeline spent her early years in the Midwest, eventually settling in Olathe, Kansas, before moving to Florida in 2016. Madeline lived a rich and fulfilling life as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Gary Guinn of Sarasota, Florida. Together they created a life centered on love and family. She leaves behind her children: Deb (Tom) Tellone of Sarasota, Florida, and Michael Chad (Nancy) Guinn of Commerce City, Colorado. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Nicole (Michael) Ridgewell of Parrish, Florida; Kasie Parton of Charles Town, West Virginia; Rachel Wilson of Sarasota, Florida; Paige (Jonathan) Swift of Sarasota, Florida; Ryan Cook of Raytown, Missouri; and Kaitlyn Wilson of Port Charlotte, Florida. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Tyler, Isabella, Eli, Oliver, Myles, and Vivian. Madeline is also survived by her siblings Janet Lofton of Lafayette, Louisiana, and Patrick Mallams of Lake Wylie, South Carolina. She was predeceased by her parents as well as her siblings William J. Mallams, Shirley Ellis, and Robert Mallams. Throughout her journey from Pawhuska to Sarasota and beyond, Madeline touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew her. A Celebration of Life will be held on April 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM at the home of Jonathan and Paige Swift located at 5533 Eastwind Drive. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
