Marc Vincent DuCote

Marc Vincent DuCote, Age 64, of Knoxville, TN peacefully passed on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026. Marc was born in Bayshore, NY but resided most of his former years in northern Virginia before moving to Tennessee in 1990 with his family.

Marc was a people person. He spent his life as a salesman always valuing the conversations and the joy of meeting new people and hearing their life stories. He enjoyed many group activities such as: club bowling, trivia, soccer, and golf. He ran a fantasy football league and was a Sports enthusiast. Some of his favorite sports teams included: The Washington Redskins, Washington Capitals, Miami Hurricanes, Manchester City, and the Baltimore Orioles. In his later years, he was an avid gardner and took pride in his many plants, specifically succulents, and his landscaping. His neighbors always referred to him as the garden guy.

Marc always put others first even in his last moments by being a registered organ donor, choosing to save as many lives as he could. His family takes comfort in knowing he will live on in others.

Marc was a loving father to his four children: Shauna M. Goodin(James) of Knoxville, TN, Caiitlin R. Quigley of Rocky Top, TN, Kyle R. DuCote(Callie) of Johnson City, TN, Lourdes "Seth" S. DuCote of Oak Ridge, TN. He also leaves behind his mother Catherine O. DuCote and his four siblings: Remy G. DuCote IV of Fredericksburg, VA, Michele Lambert of Liberty Township, OH, Stephen E. DuCote of Arlington, Va, and Suzanne Mangan of Yuma, AZ. He is preceded in death by his father Remy G. DuCote III. Marc was a beloved grandfather to: Landen, Evan, Keira, Morgan, and Audrey and also a wonderful uncle to multiple nieces and nephews.
