Marcia Denean Shea

A longtime resident of Santa Clara County, Marcia passed away peacefully in her home in Hanford with her family after having a long period of various health complications on December 29th, 2025. Born in San Jose, California on May 7, 1950, she had spent her life in the Bay Area. Marcia was known for her friendly personality, her strong sense of social justice and the love of being with her family and friends. Her love of helping people led her to become a patent paralegal for over 30 years then a Senior Associate at Legal Shield.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Heather (Javier) and Rashall; Her grandchildren, Shayla, Javier, Cristina, Jaxon, Jacob, Nevaeh, Jocelyn, Genesis, Cali-May and Jeremiah; Her sisters, Ina and Claire, Her various nieces and nephews, Darryl (Kate), Travis (Sunny), Laura (Ryan). She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Shea; her parents, Dwight F. (Bud) Jr and F. Jeanne Sheffer; her brothers, Dwight F. III (Buddy) and Patrick A.(Andrew); Her niece Suzanna.

A celebration of Marcia's life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at the New Hope Community Church 11274 W Hanford Armona Rd, Hanford, CA 93239. The family will then have after gathering details at the memorial.
