Margaret M. Berghela-Anastasio

Margaret M. Berghela-Anastasio, aged 71, passed away on February 13, 2026, in Albany, NY. Born on September 25, 1954, Margaret was a deeply religious person, known for her enduring faith and commitment to her family and community.

Margaret is survived by her loving family, including her son Michael Lanahan, daughter Amber Watson, Her ever loving and faithful son John Watson and his wife, Medja. She also leaves behind her siblings Donalee (Jim) Redden, Sherry (Larry) Stone, Frank (Beverly) Berghela, Eve (Tim) Zusin, Carl Bruni, John (Vicki) Bruni, Anthony Bruni, and Dixie (Sean) Bruni-Davis. Her aunt, Dorothy Dodge, and her minister and his wife, Kerry (Alice) Morris, along with a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, to cherish her memory. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Dixie Lee Dodge and Frank Berghela, and her uncle, Robert Dodge.
A memorial service will be held at a later time to honor Margaret's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Albany Church of Christ at 30 Russell Rd, Albany, NY 12205, a place that was very dear to Margaret.
