Margaret Richardson

Margaret Anne Richardson (née Bridges), born on July 24, 1935, in East Point, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026, in Dawsonville, Georgia. She was 90 years old.

Margaret dedicated much of her professional life to the Arrow Shirt Company, where she worked as a Returns Supervisor until her retirement. Her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence were evident throughout her career.

Margaret was a devoted mother to her son David Richardson and his wife Sherry Richardson ,her daughter Beverly Laney and her husband Benny Laney. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Shannon Mayer and her husband David Mayer, Shae Phillips and her husband DJ Phillips, and Corey Laney and his wife Lindsey Laney. Margaret’s love extended to her great-grandchildren: Chloe Mayer, Lawson Mayer, Cassidy Laney, Nicholas Laney, Jered Hodgins, Parker Laney, Ellie Laney, and Bennett Laney. Her family brought immense joy to her life. Margaret also cherished her friendship and time spent with Margaret Blaine, her closest friend.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Hershal Eugene (Jimmy) Richardson; her parents Eli Bridges and Bessie Moore; her brother Douglas Bridges; sisters Sandra Parrish, Carolyn Allison, and Virginia Webb; as well as her daughter-in-law Sherry Richardson.

Margaret had a zest for life that shone through in everything she did. She had a passion for dancing—whether it was ballroom dancing, line dancing, or square dancing—and spent countless joyful hours on the dance floor. In addition to dancing, Margaret raised Bulldogs for many years with great care and dedication.

Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May the legacy of Margaret Anne Richardson bring comfort and inspiration to those she leaves behind.
