Marian Holder

Marian Ruth Reed Holder, born on September 24, 1935, passed away peacefully at her home in Jenks, Oklahoma, on January 20, 2026. She was surrounded by loved ones and friends. After recent hospital visits and multiple diagnoses, Marian chose to forgo life-saving measures, embracing her faith and the love of those around her.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin Reed and Harriet Ruth Reed Lidle; her younger brother, Richard Reed; and her former husband, Ronald Holder.

She is survived by her three children: Kirk Holder, Dana Hillburn, (Jerry); andCara Westerfeld (Otto); eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Her siblings and in-laws include Nancy Reed, Vicki Reed, Tom and MaryAnn Reed, and Linda and Jack Kerr. Marian was also a beloved aunt to ten nieces and nephews.

A woman of deep faith, Marian cherished her church family and was actively involved in several faith-based organizations. She was steadfast in prayer for her family, friends, and nation. A lifelong Republican like her mother, she remained committed to her values throughout her life.

Marian had a long career as a dental hygienist with Dr. Ed Roberts before retiring to focus on her faith, family, friendships, artwork, and travel. She was a talented individual with many hobbies, including playing the piano, creating artwork in various mediums, sewing, gardening, and reading.

Marian will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now with her Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, for eternity.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on March 28, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Carbondale Assembly of God, 2135 W 51st St., Tulsa, Oklahoma.
