Marian Grace Oakley, age 91, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Loveland, Colorado. She was born in 1934, in Laramie, Wyoming, to Vern and Ann Collins.

Marian grew up in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and after graduating she enjoyed a rewarding career with the Wyoming Highway Department as a top-level executive secretary. In 1957, she married Gerald Oakley, beginning a partnership that spanned nearly seven decades. In 1961, they moved to Longmont, Colorado, where they built the home they lived in and cherished throughout their lives.

Marian was active in her sorority and contributed to its fundraising efforts for over 30 years. She worked part-time for the St. Vrain School District for many years and later became a legal secretary at a local law firm. She was admired for her skills that made her tech-savvy well ahead of her time.

Marian was an avid reader who enjoyed sewing and playing the piano. In her retirement years, she discovered a passion for paper crafting. Her creativity shone as she taught crafting classes at local stores, forming friendships along the way. She enjoyed travels in the RV, and time with family.

Marian is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Gerald Oakley; her loving daughter Carol Doak; son-in-law Robert Doak; grandchildren Shannon Gray and Mathew Doak; and great-granddaughters Jayden and Taylor Gray. Her sweet nature and enduring love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

May Marian’s legacy of kindness and creativity continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
