Marie E. Brillard (née Libby), age 92, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025, in Pittsfield, Maine. Born on July 29, 1933, in Thorndike, Maine, Marie lived a long and meaningful life rooted deeply in her community and family.
She was the daughter of Mary E. Libby (Gardner) and Guy N. Libby and grew up alongside her siblings Freeman Libby, Madeline Hotham, and Clyde Libby, who preceded her in death. Marie carried with her the values of her upbringing—resilience, curiosity, and a deep appreciation for history—which she shared generously throughout her life.
Marie was the proud mother of five children: Nathan, Anthony, Allyson, Bridgette, and Tracey. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
