Marie Langlois Bryan (Mimi)

Marie Langlois Bryan, known affectionately as "Mimi" to her grandchildren, died peacefully at home in Calabash, North Carolina, on April 21, 2026. She was 67. Marie was born October 3, 1958, in LaGrange, Illinois.

She is survived by her husband, Scott Bryan Sr.; daughters Julia (Travis) Dodd and Jessica (Tim) Hall; stepchildren Jenny Walsh, Kim (Taylor) Bryan‑Farrow, Chelsea Bryan, and Scott Jr. (Julie) Bryan; and daughter Tessa (Evan) Pelavin. Cherished grandchildren include Teagan and Crew; Jackson; Quinn and Marlowe; Lilly and Finn; and Sienna. She is also survived by her sister Sue Green.

Marie was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Janice Langlois, and her brother Harry (Chip) Langlois, Jr.

Marie graduated from Tifton High School in Tifton, Georgia, and spent her career in the promotional products marketing industry. A devoted Christian, she gave her life to Jesus Christ and was baptized in Memphis, Tennessee. Marie had a gift for home decorating and was known for her joyful, kind, and genuine loving spirit.

In her later years Marie sought treatment across South Carolina in her quest for healing. The family extends deep gratitude to the many doctors, nurses, technicians, and therapists who cared for her — including Dr. Sanita Raju, Neurologist at McLeod Medical Center (Florence, SC), and technicians Peggy James and Jen Cruz‑Haswell at Tidelands Rehabilitation Hospital (Little River, SC). Though the journey was long, Marie continued to show sweetness and joy.

A memorial celebration will be held in the North Atlanta area in mid‑May 2026; dress is business casual. Specific date, time, and location to be announced.
