Marie Coyel, born Marie Baria on February 19, 1939, in Pascagoula, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, in Haltom City, Texas. She was 86 years old.
Marie devoted more than 42 years to a dedicated career at AT&T, where her steadfast work ethic and commitment left a lasting impression on those who worked alongside her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Brenard and Annie Baria, and her sisters Annette Butler, Della Woods, and Onnie Rucker. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Marie is lovingly remembered by her daughter Terri Horn and son-in-law Joe Horn; grandchildren Christina Yarbough and husband Lance, Jason Horn and wife Danielle, and Courtney Horn; and great-grandchildren Cooper and Asa Yarbough, Jacob, Dyllan, and Hadleigh Horn, and Caiden Potts. She is also survived by her sister Linda Tigner and numerous nieces and nephews who will continue to honor her memory.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, from 1:30 to 4:00 PM at The Crouch Event Center, 900 E. Glendale St., Crowley, TX 76036.
Marie's legacy lives on through the generations of family she nurtured with love and devotion. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
