Marie Rose LaCroix, 79, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in West Kingston, Rhode Island. Born on August 8, 1946, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Marie lived a life enriched by creativity and quiet strength.
Marie held a lifelong devotion to the arts. A gifted artist, Marie explored a wide range of mediums including painting, drawing, jewelry design, and quilting. Her work reflected both technical mastery and a deep appreciation for everyday beauty.
Marie was a loving wife to Charles LaCroix (deceased), mother to Diane Devine and a devoted grandmother to Finn Devine and Autumn Devine. She also leaves behind her son-in-law Daniel Devine; her sister Sharon McCarthy; and her brother James McCarthy. She was the cherished daughter of James McCarthy and Dorothy Dirsa.
A memorial service will be held on January 21, 2026, at 12:45 pm at The Veterans National Cemetery on Connery Avenue.
Marie's legacy lives on through her art and in the hearts of those who knew her. May she rest with the Lord in comfort and be at peace.
