Marilyn Ehrlich Kroll, age 94, of Glenview, Illinois, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 19th, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of the late Norman Kroll, devoted mother of Jody (Stephen) Rotblatt and Lauren (Harry) Major, and cherished grandmother of Daniel Major, Alissa Rotblatt, Carly Major, and Jennifer (Michael) Simons. She was the loving daughter of the late Ruth and Irving Ehrlich.
Marilyn will be remembered for her loving warmth, her devotion to family, her spirit, which was always so full of life, the empathy and care she offered to so many, and for the love she gave so freely to her children and grandchildren. Marilyn had dreams and ambitions that followed her throughout her life. She went back to school while raising her daughters to pursue a master's in social work (MSW), driving from her home in Highland Park each day to the University of Chicago. She brought her compassion and sharp wit to her work as a therapist and later to her second career as a bridge teacher. Marilyn valued her relationships and friendships above all else and always held those she loved close. She was adored by so many and a friend to anyone who knew her. We'll remember her by her fierce love, her intelligent mind, her sweet and gentle voice, and the poems and songs she knew by heart. Her memory will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
