Marilyn M Slotter

1935 - 2026

Marilyn M. Slotter, lovingly known as "Mimi," of Wayne, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 29, 1935, and lived a life defined by deep love for her family, enduring friendships, quiet strength, and steadfast faith.
Marilyn was a devoted and deeply loving mother whose greatest joy and pride was her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Douglas Robert Slotter. She is survived by her daughters Gretchen Ann Swall (Scott Swall), Christine Ruth Connors, and Tracy Lynn d'Entremont (Scott d'Entremont), who loved her dearly and are grateful for the example she set through a lifetime of grace, kindness, and unconditional love.
She was a cherished grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Brenden and Colin Slotter; Charles and Alexandra Swall; Sean, Meghan, Andrew Connors (Camila), and Julianne Connors; and Sydney d'Entremont (Alayna d'Entremont), Jack and Riley d'Entremont. To them, she was Mimi—steady, warm, and endlessly proud.
Marilyn was a faithful member of Saint Matthew's United Methodist Church of Valley Forge, where her faith guided her throughout her life and brought her great comfort.
One of Marilyn's greatest gifts was her ability to form and sustain deep, meaningful friendships. She treasured friendships that spanned decades and life's many seasons. In her later years, after moving to Brightview in Devon, she once again built close bonds, forming new friendships that brought her joy, laughter, and a renewed sense of community.
Above all, Marilyn will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle presence, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She leaves behind a legacy of family, friendship, and faith that will continue to guide and comfort all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday February 7, 2026, at 2pm at St Matthews United Methodist Church of Valley Forge 600 Walker Rd, Wayne, PA.
