Marjorie Anne Kellerman, born on April 5, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, in Reno, Nevada, at the age of 83.
Marjorie grew up with a love of music, often playing piano for her church choir and local community events. After graduating from the University of Iowa, she pursued a career in education, teaching elementary school for over 35 years. She was admired for her patience, creativity, and the way she encouraged her students to dream big.
In retirement, Marjorie enjoyed gardening, watercolor painting, and volunteering at the Reno Public Library, where she organized literacy programs for children. Friends and family remember her as a gentle, steadfast woman with a bright laugh and an unwavering belief in kindness.
She is survived by her two daughters, Emily Jensen and Katherine Lewis, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Kellerman.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church in Reno on September 15, 2025, with interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
