Hudson Bond passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at his home in the mountains of Tonasket, Washington. He was 86 years old.

Born on May 13, 1939, in New York, Hudson was the son of Philip Albert and Dorothy Goewey DeGuise. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to nature and found joy in simple pleasures that reflected his quiet strength and enduring spirit.

Hudson had a lifelong passion for carpentry and often preferred solitude while working on his homes. His craftsmanship was not only a skill but a form of expression—each project a testament to his dedication and care. Over time, he discovered a deep sense of belonging in Tonasket, where he found his forever home nestled among the mountains.

He enjoyed long walks and fishing, often taking time to appreciate the natural world around him. Watching wildlife from his kitchen window or front porch brought him peace and wonder. In later years, he always had a love for gardening, generously sharing the fruits of his labor with local friends and donating crops to the food bank—a quiet but meaningful gesture that reflected his giving nature.

Though he once preferred solitude, Hudson came to cherish gatherings with friends who became like family. These connections enriched his later years and brought warmth to his mountain home.

Hudson is lovingly remembered by his daughters Connie May (Albert) Nolen and Kristin (Albert) Martens; and by his brothers Paul Albert and Clyde Albert. He was preceded in death by his father Philip Albert; Mother Dorothy Goewey DeGuise; and brothers Don Albert and Ralph Albert.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and peace to those who loved him.
