Mark Wayne Crowder, Sr., 65, of Plant City, Florida, passed away on February 26, 2026. Born on April 15, 1960, in Tampa, Florida, Mark lived a life filled with laughter, loyalty, faith, and an unwavering love for his family and friends.

He was the beloved son of the late Lorraine Kennedy Crowder and Jimmie Bogard Crowder. He was also preceded in death by his brothers James and Michael Crowder, as well as his stepmother, Ronnie.

Mark is survived by his former wife of four years, Sonya Crowder; his son, Mark Wayne Crowder Jr.; and his cherished granddaughter, Lillian, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his brothers Tony Crowder and wife Jenny Crowder, Edward Crowder, and Donald “Skip” Crowder. Mark leaves behind many loving nieces — Kristen, Krystal, Kennedy, Presley, and Kensley — and nephews — Anthony, Dylan, Damian, and Walker — along with countless extended family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Mark dedicated many years of his life to working as a Merchant Seaman with Hendry Corporation and Martin Marine. His career on the water reflected his hardworking and dependable nature. However, it was his vibrant personality that truly defined him. Fun-loving, kind-hearted, outgoing, and wonderfully goofy, Mark had a unique ability to make people feel at ease from the moment they met him. His familiar “Yuuuup” could light up any room and bring a smile to anyone’s face. He was unapologetically himself — never afraid to express love or share a laugh. Those who knew him often remarked that he didn’t have a single bad relationship; he treated everyone with warmth and respect.

A proud Harley-Davidson enthusiast, Mark loved riding motorcycles and sharing that passion with others, especially his brothers. Above all else, he loved his family fiercely. He was a collector of Crown Royal bags, family photos, and every card he ever received — small treasures that reflected how much he valued memories and the people who gave them.

In 2017, Mark gave his life to Christ and carried his faith with sincerity and gratitude. A devoted Christian, he lived with forgiveness in his heart and kindness in his actions. His faith shaped the way he approached life — with an open heart and a deep appreciation for the blessings around him.

Mark’s life cannot be measured by years alone but by the joy he brought to others through his laughter, the love he gave freely without hesitation, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him. May his memory continue to bring comfort to all who loved him.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has shared condolences, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your kindness means more than words can express.

In honor of Mark’s life and spirit, we will be gathering not for a traditional funeral service, but for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, March 7, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Squeezer and Candis’ residence, 10520 McIntosh Road.

At 1:00 PM, friends and family are invited to participate in a 30-minute motorcycle ride around the block on Harleys and other bikes, making a special stop at Mark’s yard for a brief prayer and send-off before returning to the compound.

Food will be provided, and guests are welcome to bring covered dishes if they would like. In true Mark fashion, motorcycles are encouraged.

We look forward to gathering together to share stories, laughter, and memories as we celebrate the life he lived and the love he gave.
