Mark Darren Johnson, 59, passed away on April 10, 2026, in Orlando, Florida. Born on August 26, 1966, in West Chester, Pennsylvania, Mark entered the world as Mark Darren Brice. After the passing of his biological father, Alan B. “Hap” Brice, when Mark was just a baby, he was lovingly adopted and raised by his father, Eldridge W. “Pete” Johnson, whose last name he carried.
Mark is survived by his devoted mother, Lucina Johnson (née Downes); his siblings, Scott (Tracey) Johnson of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; Todd (Judy) Johnson of Green Lane, Pennsylvania; and Kristen Britt of Norfolk, Virginia; his step-sister, Sherry (Andre’) de Carville of Chester Springs, Pennsylvania; eight nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He shared a particularly close bond with his brother Todd through their mutual love of fishing. Mark also spent nearly a decade living with his cousin Richie, forming a lasting companionship that brought comfort to his life.
An avid freshwater fisherman, Mark found joy and solace in the quiet moments spent by the water. Fishing trips with Todd were among his most treasured experiences.
Mark lived a largely private life, finding comfort in solitude and in the simple routines that brought him peace. In his own way, he navigated life quietly, leaving behind memories of the moments he chose to share.
Mark was predeceased by his biological father, Alan B. “Hap” Brice, and his adoptive father, Eldridge W. “Pete” Johnson, whose influences remained with him throughout his life.
Mark will be cremated, and his ashes will be scattered in a manner his family believes reflects his wishes.
