Mark Faiwell

Mark Jay Faiwell, 79, passed away peacefully March 12, 2026. Born on April 29, 1946, he lived a life defined by deep friendships, loving his family, a great meal and a genuine appreciation for socializing with anyone.

He is survived by his daughter Abby Wall and her two children, Ethan and Violet; and his daughter Sara Faiwell and her husband, Buzz, along with their two children, Jordyn and Jackson; his former wife and the mother of his children, Sandra Maguire and his sister, Donna.

Summers at Camp Timberlane in northern Wisconsin shaped his youth, where he built lifelong friendships and memories that found their way into nearly every story he told. He later had the chance to own the camp himself and went on to own a local window treatment business.

Mark loved traveling, cooking and entertaining, taking joy in bringing people together around a home-cooked meal. You could find him relaxing by a pool or somewhere near the water working on his tan. As a homeowner, he was known for his gorgeous backyard and once he moved to an apartment, his well-decorated balcony for every season. He’d talk endlessly about the latest TV shows and had a lifelong love of dogs – most often a Golden Retriever by his side. And if you asked him to go anywhere during a Chicago Bears game, the answer was always a firm “no.”

More than anything, he valued his friendships, many of which spanned decades. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
