Mark Jimenez passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2026 at the age of 72.
Mark was born on August 21, 1953 in San Leandro, CA. A lifelong sports fan, Mark spent many years as a professional golf caddie; he caddied for golfers Bob Tway and Paul Azinger during their PGA Championship wins in 1986 and 1993, respectively. In addition to following sports at both the college and professional level, Mark enjoyed playing online poker, traveling, and going for walks and runs around the San Leandro Marina. He also liked a good cigar.
Mark had a big heart and cared deeply for his friends and family. In addition to maintaining decades-long friendships, he spent the last several years of his life living with his mother to ensure her comfort and wellbeing in her final years. He never met a dog he didn't like.
Mark's death followed just days after the death of his mother, Audrey Jimenez, age 93. He is survived by his sister Michele Jimenez, brother-in-law Andrew Gray, niece Katie Jimenez-Gray, and many cousins and their children.
