Mark Allen Loyd passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. He was born on December 16, 1944 at the original Saints Mary & Elizabeth Hospital (1357 S. 12th St.) in Louisville, KY to the late Aubrey and Catherine Loyd, their only child.
Mark is survived by his beloved wife, Margaret Ann (Sachleben) Loyd. They were married in June 1966. His sons Mark (Kate) and James (Melissa) survive him along with his Loyd grandchildren Mark, Jon, Aubrey (granddaughter), and Anderson. Plus, Mark is survived by his bonus grandchildren Michaela Rogers (Chris Knabel), and Sam Rogers (Hayley).
A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00AM on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1960 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40205. Interment at Cave Hill Cemetery will be private.
