Mark Jacob Weinheimer passed away on January 8, 2026. He was born on November 1, 1945, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a resident of Austin, Texas.

Mark's early life was shaped by his father's service in the Air Force, which led the family to live in various states and across Europe. These formative years gave Mark a deep appreciation for different cultures and places. Among the many schools he attended, he held fond memories of his high school years in Lisbon, Portugal. He later pursued higher education at Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas, and North Texas State in Denton, Texas.

Mark proudly served three years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. His service reflected his strong sense of duty and commitment to his country.

Following his military service and education, Mark embarked on a career that would span more than four decades as a residential realtor. He took great pride in helping individuals and families find their dream homes. His dedication to his clients and passion for real estate earned him both success and fulfillment throughout his career. Mark retired in 2023 after over forty years of service to his community.

Outside of work, Mark found joy in the outdoors and adventure. He loved hunting, fishing, and hiking at the Weinheimer Ranch—a place close to his heart. Mark always enjoyed taking his Grandmother Anna Weinheimer fishing and hunting. He took Anna on one of her last deer hunts, killing a deer at age 100. Skiing was another favorite pastime and traveling in Europe and the U.S. with Janis. Mark also enjoyed sharing stories of his travels and listening to others recount their own journeys and an occasional game of golf.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife of forty-four years, Janis Weinheimer; his son, Christopher Weinheimer; granddaughter Avery Weinheimer; grandson Aiden Weinheimer; and sisters Anne Weinheimer, Joan Sherman, and Mary Weinheimer. Many Nephews, Forrest, Aaron, Clarence and Herman and great Niece and Nephews, Lexie, Cooper and Bella.

He was preceded in death by his father Jacob Weinheimer; mother Mary Margaret Weinheimer; and sister Donna Cox.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported them during Mark's battle with COPD.

May Mark's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. A Funeral Mass will be held on January 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 4800 Convict Hill Road. The Rosary Service will be before the Funeral Mass at 9:30 am.
