Marlen Bell Boivin

1954 - 2026

It is with loving appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Marlen Bell Boivin on March 15, 2026 at the age of 71. Born on July 13, 1954 in Seattle, she was the third of four girls born to Robert (Bob) and Catherine (Cay) Bell. After graduating from Forest Ridge High School, Marlen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages from the University of Washington while a member of Tri Delta sorority.

Marlen lived a life full of love and kindness, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the opportunity to know her. She found joy in "connecting the dots and planting seeds of new ideas" that empower insight and action through the lens of natural health, whole foods and sustainability. Marlen will be remembered not only for her many talents, but also her lifelong dedication to the specialty food, beverage and wellness industries as a provider of education, marketing, financial consulting and restaurant management. She cared deeply about health and fitness and inspired us by completing a triathlon!

Marlen's devotion to family and friends, and her giving spirit touched many lives. She will be greatly missed by her extended family who hold treasured memories of her encouraging, kind and welcoming soul and will always remember her for the many great recipes she shared.

Left to mourn is her beloved husband of 32 years, David (Dave) Boivin whom she met at a personal development conference in Portland, OR. Marlen was predeceased by her sister Barbie (David) Bowers. She leaves behind loving sisters Cathie (Tim) Wandell and Janice (Micheal) Skredsvig. She will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews Carrie (Glenn) Gesell, Cindy (Jason) Gaddis, Chris (Taymar) Wandell, Mike (Lily) Wandell, and Drew Wandell. She is survived by great nieces and nephews Andrew (Elena), Brittany, Cameron, Rory, Asha, Georgie, Miles, Zoe, and her great-great niece and nephew Penelope and Emerson.

A Celebration of Life will be held later this year.
