Marsha L. Stephens

Marsha L. Stephens (Dorsey), 78, of Merrillville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2026, with her loving husband of 58 years, Ken A. Stephens Sr., by her side.
Marsha was born on February 28, 1948, to the late Eugene Dorsey Sr. and Dorothea Alvis Dorsey. She was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana.
On December 9, 1967, she married the love of her life, Ken A. Stephens Sr. Together they created a beautiful legacy and were blessed with three sons: Ken Stephens Jr., Kevin Stephens, and Shawn Stephens.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers and sister in laws Eugene Dorsey Jr. (Cheryl), George Dorsey (Patricia), Jerry (Blue) Dorsey, and Jimmy Dorsey; her sister, Berniece Dorsey Gaskey (Steven Gaskey Sr.); and her beloved son, Shawn Stephens.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ken A. Stephens Sr; her sons Ken Stephens and Kevin Stephens; and a large, loving family that was the pride and joy of her life. Her grandchildren, Scott Stephens, Melissa (Gary) DeMoss, Kevin Coburn, Kameron Kinley, Kobi Stephens, Kody Stephens, Timmy Vasquez, Nicky Vasquez, Jesse Boone, Patty Hunt,Kevin Smith and April Evanauskas. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Noah Dillon, Autumn Luttrell, Shawn DeMoss, Kiley DeMoss, Kaleb DeMoss, Kevin DeMoss, and Mulan Stephens. Many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews too. Many other family members and friends.
Marsha shared a special friendship with her best friend, Diana (Rob) Attwood, and cherished the many memories they created together.
Marsha loved traveling, attending church, playing cards and dice, going to parties, doing karaoke, and collecting frog knickknacks. She was known for her social spirit. Her home was often filled with laughter, stories, and the joy of family gatherings.
Above all else, Marsha loved her family. Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, supported, and adored.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her strength, warmth, and the unconditional love she gave.
