Martha Lynn Hackworth, born October 27, 1932, in Henrietta, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025, in Stockton, California, at the age of 92. Her final moments were spent with her son Blair by her side.

The daughter of Hugh and Isabelle Hall and sister to David and Mary, Martha’s early years were shaped by the close bonds of her family in Oklahoma. She excelled academically and graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 1954. It was during her college years that she met Curtis Hackworth, who would become her beloved husband and lifelong companion.

After their marriage, Martha and Curtis began a new chapter together, raising four children—Susan, Catherine, Blair, and Patricia. As their family grew, Martha’s journey took her from her Oklahoma roots to the West Coast. She embraced each move with resilience and grace, always placing the well-being of her family at the center of her life.

In retirement, Martha and Curt settled in SaddleBrooke within the Sonoran Desert community. There she discovered a passion for walking and hiking amid the desert’s natural beauty. These pursuits not only brought her joy but also led to many lasting friendships within her community.

Martha will be remembered for her warmth and devotion to family. Her life was marked by a deep commitment to those she loved and an ability to find delight in everyday moments.
