Mary F. Brubaker 1935 - 2026

Our loving mother, Mary F. Brubaker of Beaumont, California passed away at her home on January 5, 2026, of heart failure. She was 90 years old.

Mary was born in Pasadena, California, the daughter of John and Opal Furgerson. She grew up in Arcadia, California where she attended Monrovia Arcadia Duarte High school and Pomona College receiving her bachelor's degree. She married Arlon Brubaker on June 9, 1957.

She was an incredible businesswoman receiving her certification as a Certified Public Accountant at a time when the field was dominated by men. Mary continued to practice as a CPA until 2022.

Mary was actively involved with her church participating in choir and finance committee. She had an even deeper involvement with her local Rotary Club. Mary was a past president of the club and served as treasurer of the club's foundation for many years. She helped to start and set up the funding for many of the club's service projects.

She loved to travel. Starting out camping in tents with her young family. Later moving up to a travel trailer and eventually road trips in hotels. She enjoyed international travel as well attending at least five Rotary international Conferences and as well as going on many cruises.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Karen Young and son, Kurt Brubaker. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arlon Brubaker and her sister Betty Lunden.

She will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, generous, intelligent, wise and beautiful woman who brought joy to our lives. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for March 6, 2026, at 1:00pm at Weaver Mortuary & Crematory, 1177 Beaumont Avenue, Beaumont, CA 92223.
