Mary Van Ehrlich

Mary Van Ehrlich departed this life on October 25, 2025. Mary Van was 75 years old.

Mary Van was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on November 16, 1949. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1972, where she began her lengthy career in management at Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Company, later renamed BellSouth. Her dedication to BellSouth was the reason she would mention for never owning a cell phone. The two loves of her life were her beloved dogs, Chester and, later, Chester II.

Mary Van is survived by her brother John G. Ehrlich, III. She was preceded in death by her father, John G. Ehrlich, Jr., mother, Mary Douglas Swearingen Ehrlich, sister Bruce Ehrlich, and sister Ann Louise Ehrlich.
