Mary Haas

Mary Ann Haas (née Kus), age 69, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, in Bay Village, Ohio. Born on September 11, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mary lived a life rooted in faith, creativity, and love for her family.

A devout Catholic and Christian throughout her life, Mary's faith was a guiding light that shaped her character and the way she treated others. She was known for her loving and forgiving nature—always ready with a kind word, a listening ear, and heartfelt advice. Her warmth extended to all who knew her, creating a legacy of compassion and strength.

Mary had a deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. She found joy in gardening and had a special love for flowers, often surrounding her home with vibrant blooms that reflected her cheerful spirit. Her passion for decorating made her house a welcoming haven filled with charm and personal touches. In quieter moments, she enjoyed painting and drawing—hobbies that allowed her to express herself artistically and bring color into the lives of those around her.

An exceptional cook, Mary delighted in preparing meals that brought people together. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aromas of home-cooked dishes shared with family and friends.

Mary's greatest pride was her family. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Michelle Haas and Melissa Haas; her grandchildren Thomas Hilde and Tera Rowe; and her sisters Sophie Kus and Christine Traver. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
