On December 4, 2025, Mary Ott Kamis joyfully went home to be with the Lord on her 80th birthday. A woman of deep and unwavering faith, Mary devoted her life to God and lived as His servant-showing compassion, helping others, and sharing her belief through quiet, steadfast acts of love. Her grace and gentle spirit touched everyone around her, leaving a legacy of kindness and devotion.
She is survived by her children Albert, Charlie, Oscar (Kelley), Mary Grace (Bayardo), and Johnny. Mary was also a cherished grandmother to Samuel, Olivia, Annie, Max, Gus, Ettiene and Estella, all of whom brought great joy to her life.
Mary's family finds comfort in knowing she is now held in God's eternal care, and they honor the legacy of faith, love, and service she leaves behind.
There will be a memorial planned in the Chicago area at a later date.
