Mary Grace Keen

Mary Grace Keen of Lake Worth, Florida, passed away at home on March
14, 2026, after an illness.
Grace was a resident of Avalon, New Jersey, from 1954 until her
retirement to Florida in 1994. During those years, she served on the
Avalon Borough Council from 1979 to 1983, including as vice president,
helped operate Keen’s Pharmacy with her husband, Dan, served as
president of the Upper Cape Chapter of Deborah Hospital in Browns
Mills, New Jersey, and was active in civic and community life.
Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Grace graduated from Ridley Township
High School and later earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in
accounting from Atlantic Community College.
In 1994, Grace and Dan retired to Naples, Florida, where they spent
many happy years together. They were active in the Sterling Oaks
Community Tennis Club, and Grace was also an avid bridge player. In
2022, they moved to Lake Worth, Florida.
Grace is survived by her husband of 72 years, W. Daniel Keen; her sister,
Josephine Croasdale; her children, Louise Grabowski, Julie Thyrring,
William Keen, and Bonnie Cote; her grandchildren, Meredith, Mary, and
Hunter Soens, CJ, Christopher, Erik, and Scott Cote, Kimberly and Nina
Keen; her great-grandchildren, Zoey Zapora and Jackson Cote; and her
eight nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Louise Fenza (née
Deldeo); her brother, Lawrence Fenza; her sister, Phyllis Benbrook; and
her niece, Elizabeth Croasdale.
