Mary Edith Kenny, a cherished mother and friend, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2026, at the age of 87 in Seeley Lake, MT. Born on March 19, 1939, Mary often shared she was born in a tent that reflected the strength and resilience she carried throughout her life.
Mary married Leroy Steele with whom she had her four children, Debra, Cindy, Steven and Doris. She later married Ron Alley and together they owned and operated the Hillgate Motel on Evaro Hill until his passing. She returned to school in Missoula where she met and married her soulmate Bernard Kenny.
Mary worked at Woolworths in the pet department and was always bringing home guppies, gerbils and parakeets to us kids. She was a dishwasher and waitress at Stockman's, a clerk at The Bon and Big Lots. She worked alongside Bernie in the floor covering business. Her favorite job was at Tidyman's deli, where every holiday she made costumes for the crew. Her most recent job was a cook at the Seeley Lake Senior Center.

Mary was an amazing wife, mother and friend with unwavering devotion to those she loved. She loved Christ which gave her strength to overcome many difficult times in her life. She is now with her savior and those that she desperately missed. Until we are together again mama, we love you so.
