Mary Lipscomb

Mary Elizabeth Lipscomb (née Treadway), 72, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, in Weatherford, Texas. Born on July 10, 1953, in London, Mary lived a life filled with dedication to her family, career, and community.

Mary was the beloved wife of her late husband and soul mate, Timothy Lipscomb. She embraced her role as a stepmother to Tara Lipscomb, took great joy in her grandchildren, Kayla Draughn and Theo Draughn, and adored her great-granddaughter Evelyn Draughn. Mary is also survived by her siblings James Treadway and Patricia Treadway Carrier. She was predeceased by her parents, John Earl Treadway and Barbara Treadway, along with her brothers John Treadway and Stan Treadway.

A compassionate and generous soul, Mary cared deeply about social causes. She made it a tradition to donate to the local food bank every Christmas and had a lifelong love for animals, caring for many pets over the years. Her enthusiasm for the holiday season was unmatched—her extensive Nutcracker collection brought festive joy to all who visited her home.

Professionally, Mary dedicated over three decades to the Accounting Department of the Medical Clinic of North Texas (formerly the Fort Worth Clinic). Her commitment and professionalism left an enduring legacy among her colleagues.

Mary found joy in reading throughout her life and had a deep appreciation for music, especially Motown. Raised in the Catholic faith, she later embraced non-denominational Christianity, drawing strength from her spiritual journey.

Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her. May those who loved Mary find comfort in remembering the warmth and kindness she brought into their lives.
