Mary Ann Loehr, of Middleton, WI, passed away on January 23, 2026, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Mary Ann was born on November 14, 1952, in Fond du Lac, WI, to Betty and Edward Loehr. She graduated from St. Mary’s Springs High School in 1971 and Moraine Park Technical College in 1987. She worked as a medical transcriber for UW Health University Hospital, Nicolet Clinic, and Theda Clark for many years. She also volunteered at the Community Clothes Closet in Appleton, WI.

Mary Ann was known for her sense of humor. She had a beautiful, welcoming smile and made the people she loved know how loved they were. She always had a funny story to share that would leave everyone laughing. She enjoyed listening to music, knitting, swimming, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Mary Ann is survived by her daughter, Erica Loehr Rotondo; her siblings, Rosemary Stenback and Ronald (Nancy) Loehr; and her brother-in-law, Dennis Lishka. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews: Charmaine (Brian) Kivi, Art Loehr, Jeff Loehr, Paul Loehr, Julie Hickey, Janet Hickey, Ryan Hickey, Tonya Stenback, and Andrea (Jon) Jannicola; her great-nieces and great-nephews: Jeremiah Kivi, Benjamin Kivi, Kelsey Loehr, Hannah (Alex) Charleston, Chloe Kapusta, Layne Jannicola, and Alysandra Jannicola; and her dear friend, Larry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Edward Loehr; her sister, Kathleen Lishka; and her niece, Helen Woznick.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Sage Meadows and Hannah’s House West, as well as the Hospice team, for the care and friendship they provided Mary Ann.

A funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 16, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison, WI. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the mass at 11:00 a.m.
