Mary Lou Fajfar (née Puma), age 67, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in Parma, Ohio at Holy Family Hospice after battling terminal cancer for over four and a half years courageously. She was surrounded by the love and comfort of her family and friends. Born on June 25, 1958, in Warrensville Heights, Ohio, Mary Lou lived a life dedicated to faith, service, and family.
Mary Lou dedicated many years of service as a school bus driver for Brunswick City Schools. She was known for her welcoming smile, patience, and commitment to putting the needs of others before her own. Her work reflected her steady presence and commitment to the safety and well-being of countless students.
On January 13, 1982, Mary Lou married the love of her life Jim Fajfar. They were married for 43 years until his passing in December 2025. Together they built a life rooted in love, memories and shared values. Marylou is lovingly remembered by her daughters Jacqueline Anderson (Jamie) and Melissa Fajfar (Danny); her son Jimmy Fajfar (Jessie); her Father Lenny Puma (deceased); Mother Leah Puma (deceased); her brothers, Lenny Puma (Cindy), Phil Puma (Colleen, deceased), Ross Puma (Marie); her cherished grandchildren Tyler, Hailee, Bella, Michael, and Samantha; and her lifelong best friend, Marla Anderson (Badalamenti).
Mary Lou was a devoted Christian woman whose faith was the foundation of her life. She was a faithful member of Grace Baptist Church, where she found great joy in worship, fellowship, and service. She found peace and happiness sitting on her front porch, reading her bible with her dog Stella by her side. Her life was a testimony of faith, love, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of devotion to God that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest peacefully in the presence of her Lord and Savior. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing. "Well done, my good and faithful servant," Matthew 25:23.
