Mary Elizabeth Seufert

Mary Elizabeth Seufert, 85, of 202 Main St., West Dennis, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025.
Born on April 18, 1940, in St. Louis, Missouri, Mary Elizabeth attended the University of Missouri before finding her home on Cape Cod, where she spent years sharing her love of literature as an English teacher. Mary Elizabeth practiced resilience and strength every day of her life. She leaves us with a will undefeated and the legacy of her children carrying on her love of reading, gardening, pottery, music, and swimming.
She is survived by her son, Garrett Doherty and his wife Carol Ann Davis, and their children Willem and Luke Doherty; her daughter, Casey Doherty, and her children Kagan and Maya Doherty. Mary Elizabeth was predeceased by her brothers Thomas and Jack (John), of California, and sister Sandra, of Missouri; and by her father John and mother Bernice, of Missouri.
A private memorial will be held by family.
