Send Flowers Plant A Tree
A resident of Rocklin CA, formerly of Oceanside, CA, Idaho Falls, ID, and Pittsburgh, PA.

Sue was the beloved mother of Mark (Jean Lalla) Stiger of Santa Rosa, CA, Robert Stiger of Oceanside, CA, and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Stiger of Rocklin, CA. She was the proud grandmother of Julia and Sonni Stiger (Jeffrey) and Elyse and Chase Stiger (Mark), the eldest sister of the late Francis Walenchok, and of her surviving siblings Thomas (the late Patricia) Walenchok, David (Deborah) Walenchok, Charles (Debra) Walenchok, and Elizabeth (Jon) Pavlakovich, all of Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her infant children, Thomas R. Stiger and Timothy J. Stiger (twins), and by her good friend and companion Richard "Dick" Cirka (Captain USMC, Retired) of Oceanside, CA and Salem, OR.

Sue was a devoted wife and mother. She supported her family as they enjoyed water and snow skiing, school sports, and the outdoors - camping, hiking and travelling across the US in a camper to visit family in Pittsburgh. She was known as a kind and caring person, focusing on the comfort and well-being of others. She often used the phrase "Be Nice" that reverberated within her family as well as within her professional life in working with her business partners and clients. She always sought to make light of situations whether in the home or in the office with the sly and loving Walenchok family humor.

Sue started her career in real estate while in Idaho Falls and continued to thrive in the real estate business while in Oceanside. She served as a director and past president of the Oceanside Board of Realtors and was a Director for the California Association of Realtors. In 2003, she purchased Oceana Resales and Rentals, a business specializing in the Oceana Communities of Oceanside. Sue owned the Oceana business for nearly 20 years before retiring.

Sue was a parishioner of the Mission St. Luis Rey Parish in Oceanside where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She continued her Catholic faith while in Rocklin by participating in a weekly prayer and receiving the Eucharist while homebound.

Sue passed peacefully in the company of family due to complications stemming from lung cancer.

A Funeral Mass and interment will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery & Funeral Center, 7101 Verner Avenue, Citrus Heights, CA 95621, where she will be laid to rest near her children, Thomas and Timothy.
