On April 01, 2026, Mathilda H. Huff (née Klaassen) of Melbourne, Florida passed away at the age of 85. Mathilda (Tilly) was born in Helmond, Netherlands on November 30, 1940, to Leonardus Klaassen and Petronella Klaassen-Vermulst. She was the second of six children.
Tilly married twice. She married Herbert Bellamy Huff, a staff sergeant in the US Air Force. He served in World War II. She had two sons with Herbert. After being widowed, she married Ormond Hugh Huff, a chief petty officer in the US Navy, with whom she had a daughter. He served in Korea and Vietnam.
Tilly spent many years as a stay at home mother, acting as team mother for her sons' baseball team and on the board of the local recreation center. She went on to work as the manager of The Shack Restaurant until her retirement. She typically oversaw operation of the restaurant from behind the bar, where she could keep an eye on events.
Tilly is survived by Leo Anthony Huff (Son), Petra-Kate Huff (Daughter), Karen Huff (née Conrad) (Daughter-in-Law), Anton Klaassen (Brother), Leo Klaassen (Brother), Petronella (Sister), Nathan Huff (Grandson), Dylan Huff (Grandson), Sarah Melcher (Granddaughter), Conrad Melcher (Grandson), Nicholas Melcher (Grandson), Marius Califano (Grandson), and Rebecca Cipcic (Niece).
In addition to her husbands, Tilly was predeceased by James Huff (Son), Leonardus Klaassen (Father), Petronella Klaassen-Vermulst (Mother), Martinus Klaassen (Brother), and Huberdina Happé-Klaassen (Sister).
