Matthew Jerry Buschini

Matt was born in Concord, CA to Chloe and John Buschini. Growing up in Lafayette, CA, Matt attended early schooling in Pleasant Hill, CA and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School, class of 1978. After graduating high school Matt went on to attend Diablo Valley College. Over the years, Matt excelled athletically in every sport he played. He was enthusiastic during his Little League baseball years. He mastered the ice rink while participating in Hockey and consistently challenged his competitors as a diver. He continued to demonstrate impressive football skills which carried over to college. Shortly after Matt met his first wife Rachael and they married in 1984, Racheal was called to our Lord in 1986. In 1993, Matt met Michelle and they married in 1994. Matt and Michelle raised her son Nick as well as their two sons; Anthony and Sam he shared with Michelle. Nick was called by the Lord to heaven in 2021. Matt was a dedicated and present father, who ensured the wellbeing and the love of Jesus with his family and community. He was involved in his community with church, faith building and prayer groups. Matt and Michelle were blessed with 31 years of marriage raising their family in both California and Tennessee. He could always bring a smile to the room with his witty sense of humor, corny jokes and tomfoolery. He loved to paraphrase quotes from his favorite movies and impersonate his favorite Looney Tune character, which he did extremely well and would leave the room busting with laughter. Matt spent many years alongside his family bakery supporting the business. After leaving the bakery, Matt honed his skills and earned his degree at Miller Mott Tech College. From there he was able to carry his skills over once moving to Tennessee where he worked for HHM at Triumph Aerospace as the Lead HVAC Tech/Team Facilities Maintenance Manager until his retirement in 2025. Matt and Michelle recently retired and relocated to Still Waters on Lake Marin, near Auburn, AL, and became neighbors with his cousin Scott and his wife, Cindy. As a faithful, Matt's power team was the 49ers and attended many games throughout the years with his parents and brothers. Those who knew him knew his was a man of profound faith in our Lord, he was a friend to all and would be the first to help someone in need. He was truly one of a kind and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Michelle, sons Anthony and Sam; brothers Mark, wife Mary; John, wife Jill; Paul, wife Alana and his many nephews, nieces, grandnephews/nieces.
