Maureen Anne Myhers

Maureen Anne (McGrath) Myhers, 71, of Cape Coral, FL, passed away on February 9, 2026, at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, FL.
Maureen was born in West Point, NY, to John and Eileen McGrath on June 10, 1954. She spent much of her younger years between New York and Canada.

She married James F. Myhers on January 30, 1982, in Rochester, NY. On February 26, 1982, they welcomed a daughter, Sara.

In 1988, they moved down to Cape Coral, FL. She started cleaning at a hotel on Sanibel, eventually working her way up to Executive Housekeeper. She also started cleaning vacation rentals on Sanibel Island, which led to her starting her own business. She started Affordable Cleaning Systems, which has been in business for over three decades, eventually passing it to her daughter, Sara, to continue her legacy.

Maureen was preceded in death by her father, John, and stepmother, Helena, and her mother, Eileen (Maggie), and stepfather, Willard. Also, her sister, Kathleen (Katie) McGrath, and her brother, Michael (Mike) McGrath.

Maureen is survived by her spouse, James F. Myhers, her daughter, Sara Myhers, her brothers, Timothy McGrath and partner Martha Tomassetti. Her brother, John McGrath. Her sister in-law and best friend, Laura McGrath. Her brother, Thomas (Tom) McGrath, and wife, Nancy. Her six grandchildren, Genae, Ava, Aiden, Briannah, Jaizen, and Camren. Her two great-grandchildren, Mahea and Malikai. She also is survived by her many nieces and nephews, cousins, and extended family in Canada and New York.

Our family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to her wonderful and caring doctors, nurses, and CNAs from VITAS Hospice and Cape Coral Hospital for the exceptional care they provided. We would also like to thank her husband, James, for being so dedicated to her care and never leaving her side during her illness.

Her memorial service will be on February 28, 2026, at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 290 Nicholas Pkwy NW, Cape Coral, FL 33991, from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m.
