Maureen Clare Quinn passed away peacefully with family by her side on November 17th, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. She was born on June 30, 1955 in Paterson, New Jersey, to Frank Quinn and Bernice (Catteral) Quinn.
Maureen was raised in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey and attended St. Mary's, St. Agnes's, Mater Dei High School, and Douglass College at Rutgers University, where she majored in English and focused on Feminist Studies.
Maureen enjoyed a successful career in marketing and epitomized the "small woman, large presence" that generations to come will appreciate as we continue on the trail she blazed for us. Don't let her down now, ladies!
After a young spark and then subsequent marriages to other people, destiny returned Maureen to the love of her life, Stephen Francis Tyrrell. Together, they lived their wildest dreams and raised four children: Kevin E. Tyrrell (Doniel), Erin M. Kern (Zak), Eileen F. Tyrrell, and Stephen K. Tyrrell.
Maureen later melted into "Momo" to her adoring grandchildren: Brendan, Connor and Lana Fenerty, and Killian and Saoirse Kern. She was their first and best friend; and their first and most "willing-to-risk-it-all" accomplice. They will live in eternal gratitude for her every day of their lives; and their parents will live in exhaustion and humility trying to live up to the example she set and the gap that is left by her loss. What "we" as parents feared - Mo embraced, loved, and normalized. She spent her retirement picking grandkids up from school to make sure they received their speech therapy, occupational therapy, hugs and one-on-one grandparent time. Momo relearned chess, adopted a love for the Transformers franchise, adapted to swimming in sub-90s temps, kept multiple iPads running, charged, and updated, and a treasure box fully stocked, all for the joy of fostering her beloved grandchildren's specific needs .
Maureen also enjoyed her sisters and her nieces and nephews and the grands they brought with them.
Maureen joins the love of her life, Stephen F. Tyrrell, in eternity. She fought for the last 37 years against cancer, and then for the last 8 months loved and supported their children through his loss.
She is survived by her children, her grandchildren, her sisters, Sharon Fisher (Albert), and Eileen Manners (Scott), nephews Garrett Fisher and Michael Fisher (Julie and children), nieces Stephanie Manners and Audrey Smith (Kyle).
At her request, there will be no services. Please remember Maureen every time you step on a softball field, put a suit on, stand up for yourself or your daughter, sustain a quiet win, or require a step stool. She was the best; and we will remember her always.
