April 28, 1950 - December 22, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maureen Seagraves (née Fitter & Dent), who passed away peacefully on December 22, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a devoted Mom, cherished Nana and Gigi, loving Sister and Aunt, and a dear Friend to many.
Maureen was born in Windsor, Ontario, where she grew up surrounded by family, laughter and a strong sense of community. She will be remembered for her bright spirit, quick wit and wonderfully fun sense of humor. Maureen devoted her life to raising her children and caring deeply for those she loved. Her kindness, warmth and generosity touched all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her three beloved children: Melissa (Edward), Matthew (Suzanne) and James (Haley); her cherished grandchildren: Braedyn (Kayla), Lindsay (Tyler), Brogan, Genevieve, Penelope, Florence, Ernest, Riley, Weston and Jayleigh; and her three precious great-grandchildren: Elliott, Emery and Macie. She will also be dearly missed by her five siblings: Terry, Dennis, Sharon, Beth and Bruce, along with many nieces & nephews and husband James M Seagraves.
Maureen was predeceased by her loving parents, Bruce and Thelma Fitter.
A Celebration of Life Afternoon Tea will be held on January 31, 2026, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. at Venue1890, 1890 Havendale Blvd NW, Winter Haven, Florida 33881. All are welcome to join in sharing memories, celebrating Maureen's life and enjoying light refreshments.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Braedyn & Brogan Stevenson's names, an organization close to Maureen's heart.
Maureen's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved—and who loved her in return.
