Shared in loving remembrance and reflection.
Megan Pulliam, 55, passed away on December 30, 2022, in Cocoa, Florida. Born on April 5, 1967, in Dadeville, Alabama, Megan lived a life marked by creativity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to helping others grow.
In 1982, Megan's family relocated to Plano, Texas. She later attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology. A proud life member of the Texas-Exes alumni association, Megan remained deeply connected to her alma mater throughout her life. Her passion for learning extended beyond traditional education; she became a certified Professional Co-Active Coach and Master Trainer, reflecting her deep commitment to personal development and leadership.
Megan began her professional journey as an assignment reporter and copyeditor at The Dallas Morning News. Her early career was rooted in communication and community engagement—a theme that would continue throughout her life. After moving to Philadelphia, she served as a senior staff organizer for the Regional Council of Neighborhood Organizations, where she worked closely with local communities to foster collaboration and advocacy.
Later, Megan brought her talents to the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene as a senior web and network administrator. It was during this time that she began envisioning a new kind of workplace—one built on empathy, empowerment, and human potential.
That vision came to life when Megan co-founded ArcSource Group. As CEO for over two decades, she shaped the company around her core belief that people are naturally creative, resourceful, and whole. Under her leadership, the company became more than just a business - it became a space where individuals could see themselves more clearly, respond thoughtfully in critical situations, build meaningful relationships, and pursue their goals with confidence. Megan's influence as a leader was profound; she inspired those around her not only through her expertise but through her warmth and authenticity.
Outside of work, Megan expressed herself through many creative outlets. She had a keen eye for photography and found joy in capturing moments both big and small. She played guitar with quiet passion and enjoyed refinishing furniture, breathing new life into old pieces with care and artistry. Her theater training while in college enabled her to bring presence and intention to her interactions. She adored her beloved cats.
Megan was passionately knowledgeable across a wide range of topics and delighted in sharing those interests with others. Whether engaging in thoughtful conversation or offering support to those around her, she brought humor, kindness, and insight into every interaction. She was deeply devoted to her friends and family, always thoughtful in word and action.
Megan was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbon H. and Mary J. Pulliam. She is survived by her brother Michael, niece Marel, and great-nephew Caden - all of whom will carry forward the memory of her generous spirit.
Megan will be forever cherished by those who knew her - as a leader who uplifted others; as an artist who saw beauty in transformation; as a friend whose laughter brightened rooms; and as a family member whose love ran deep.
May her memory bring comfort to all who were touched by her presence.
