Melinda Inez Ervin, born November 28, 1957, in Anniston, Alabama, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at the age of 68.
Melinda was fiercely independent and built her life through grit and determination. She lived boldly and cherished her role as Nana to her grandchildren. She loved the beach and long days on the shoreline.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Robert Ervin; her children, Cherie Langley (Matt), Rick Johnson (Stephanie), Blake Johnson (Rachel), and Sheila Graves (Thomas); and her grandchildren, Karleigh Johnson, Camryn Johnson, McKenzie Fisher, Savannah Fisher, Mackenzie Graves, and Evelyn Graves.
She was preceded in death by parents, Gilbert and Evelyn Sanders, and siblings, Charlie Sanders and Terrie Sanders.
A casual gathering of friends and family honoring her memory will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Location; 725 Mahlep Ln. Alexandria, Alabama 35250
