Michael "Mike" Berlo, 57, passed away on January 15, 2026, while in the process of beginning a new chapter of his life in Florida. Born on September 20, 1968, in Boston, Massachusetts, Mike spent the majority of his life living in Quincy, Massachusetts, a place he proudly called home. Mike lived a life defined by loyalty, curiosity, and a deep love for the sea.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Walter L. Berlo and Barbara A. Berlo. He is survived by his siblings: Beth Carney-Berlo and her wife Kathleen Carney, Christine Berlo, Barbara Ceurvels, Kevin Berlo and his partner Kathy Player and his brother in law Mark Ceurvels. He was a proud and loving uncle to Mark Ceurvels and his wife Marjorie Ceurvels, Courtney Ceurvels, Benjamin Berlo and his wife Danielle Berlo, and a devoted great-uncle to Mila Ceurvels, Maeve Ceurvels, Merry Ceurvels and Nathan Berlo.

A loyal friend to many, Mike was known for his steady presence, sharp sense of humor, and unwavering devotion to Boston sports. An avid fan through every high and low, he cheered his teams with passion and pride. Mike was also a hard worker throughout his life and a dedicated union member, values he carried with pride and integrity.

Mike found his greatest peace near the water. He loved the ocean and treasured days spent fishing, whether chartering boats out of Plymouth Harbor to explore the outer bay or casting lines with friends in the warm waters of Key West. A licensed scuba diver, he was equally at home beneath the waves, always eager to explore the beauty and quiet of the underwater world.

Memorial service will be private and announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choosing, in Michael's memory.
Mike will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
May he rest in eternal peace.
